Buenaventura Bilingual Foundation: The Ones and Only

Since English is one of the most important languages in the world, it is important that people get conceptualized and learn its importance. Today it is event that for many inhabitants it is not just enough to handle one language in a globalized world which is everyday more interconnected. Consequently, A bilingual or multilingual is more necessary to our studies, work, and to our everyday lives. Thus, nowadasy in Colombia, like in many other parts of the world, there is a growing interest in Bilingualism and Bilingual Education. Colombia has had a long tradition of including foreign languages, like English, French, German, Italian in the elite school curriculum so that these elite students have a pluralist view of the world, to open themselves to new ideas, and for them to have contact with different ways of thinking and expressing; and this linguistic and cultural diversity of our world take us to a recognition of the tolerance and respect towards others.

And it was mainly for all this that we decided to create this foundation, as a way, to provide situations and instances where Bonaverenses who like English can have a space where he/she can be able to communicate and express his/her ideas in English at the same time that he/she is learning.
